Overhauling a set of S30s

Howdy

I've got a set of S30 AL Race wheels that need some help. I've overhauled shimano free bearing hubs, but this will be my first go at cartridge, so my knowledge bank is lacking. I've consulted the S30 service manual, and it says these hubs take "2RS" cartridge bearings.

-Is "2RS" everything I need to know about purchasing new bearings?

-The manual says 2 in the front and 4 in the back.... are there really 4 bearing cartridges in the back hub?? or are the extra 2 for the freehub?

-I'm assuming all cartridge bearings are not created equally.. whats a good source? What to stay away from? Should I go with ceramic (the little bit of googling I've done shows they're not that much more, but I don't know what the quality of the bearings I've looked at is)?

Thanks

Should be a number in addition to the 2RS, which means 2 seals. Otherwise measure ID and OD to get size.

Yes, 2 in front, 4 in rear, 2 in hub, 2 in FH body. Hopefully all come out easily and new ones easily pressed in, please use a press, don't smack them in.

Get good American or European bearings, stay away from ceramic. Not worth it, and with mild steel races, less durable than stainless steel.

Use lube at bearing seats and pry the seals off the hearings, grease in there, replace seals.
