Tacx Magnum - The Next BIG Thing (Literally, huge, it's a treadmill you ride on)

http://magnum.tacx.com/

I guess if you have a whole room in your house dedicated to bicycle training, this could work. Seems like massive overkill to me.

as i mentioned in the other thread, i think it's a good idea for someone who has the room for a home gym and also is into treadmill running. if i had room, which i definitely do not, i might consider one.

d'oh. Feel free to combine threads, Nick.

I see the regular rear wheel trainer as a great value. Allows you to train indoors all winter for low cost, doesn't take a lot of space, etc.

This could be useful for the right person, but it just seems over kill to get on and do an hour of intervals 4 times a week.

Fantastic!

Now all you need is to install an Endless Pool in your home gym, and you can do an entire stationary triathlon!

I'd rather have a treadmill I can "ride" outdoors.

That treadmill bike looks great! In case I can't ride outdoors, can I ride it indoors on my rollers?

"This fully automatic treadmill is a one of a kind, it offers you to ride and run indoors on one system. You don’t have to worry about your pace as the belt will adjust instantaneously to every minor change in speed. Providing a very natural and realistic experience. With a flick of a switch you can change your bike for a pair of running shoes. With speeds up 30km/h you are able to train your endurance as well as your desired interval workouts."

Would be fun to practice cyclocross dismounts and remounts on the treadmill.
