Carmen Murphy's Medical/Rehab Fund on gofundme (Columbine Cycle Works)

I'm writing this to ask for donations to the Medical Fund for Carmen Murphy, wife of Columbine Cycle Work's John Murphy. Carmen is slowly recovering from a serious bicycle accident last summer. She took a header on her morning ride to the shop, with resultant injuries serious enough to require being medevaced to a hospital 4-5hrs from home. She was in a coma for a few weeks, thankfully regained consciousness and was released into a physical rehab facility, finally getting back home with lots more physical therapy to do. She's improved quite a bit and is somewhat mobile, but she still has a ways to go.

John lost a lot of shop time during Carmen's hospitalization/rehab, and between tending to Carmen's needs and dealing with mountains of insurance paperwork, he's still not able to put in a full day with files and torches.

His friend Paul Brown, of Cycle Dyamics in Santa Rosa, CA, started a gofundme page to provide the Murphys with some funds to help cover lost work hours and unpaid medical expenses. There hasn't been much activity on the fund since it was first started, so I figured I'd try to get the word out. We'd be very appreciative if you could donate any amount to help them out. Here's the link:

If you've been thinking about treating yourself to a custom frame from one of America's premier old-school builders, or if you need a custom fork or stem for a project, maybe you could talk to John about building something for you. Just please be patient with the lead time while he catches up...

Thanks and cheers,
