Nice too that he was able to save the down tube decals!

Nice!!!

That looks very well done.

I too love that you choose to repair this and not just get another "new n better" like so many others would have. Now you got even more history in the making!

Happy miles!

Yes! It's like getting a new bike, but I know that it fits perfectly and rides like a dream!

Now to pick a fork - probably going with an Enve. I may get the frame painted at some future date, but whatever I do, I will try and keep the existing panel.

Looks great. Hugh does some nice work. Forget painting it. Give it a good refinish with scotchbright. Really happy that it all worked out.

We need a before and after close up of the cracked area.

this is a great thread and great result Gat. i applaud your decision to get it fixed. looks like a top notch job from what we can see so far, and what a brilliant move to save the panel.

Huge props for your commitment, Gat, and Hugh's tenacity. That's not an easy job and it looks really well done.

Congrats on the save and I actually like the look better with the naked ti and yellow panel. That was a master stroke of aesthetic preservation.

Before you buy the default choice (enve 2.0) you might consider a Pegoretti Falz or a Seven or a Parlee fork as an aesthetic alternative to a purely straight fork. Make sure the tire clearance meets your needs too.

You are the beholder - these are just thoughts.

Installed a steel straight bladed Zanc fork on my H'ors. I thought it was an aesthetic improvement over the stock raked fork. Instead of looking like a tired horse at rest, it appeared ready to giddy up and go.

Cool - thanks. I will look into those. It originally had an Ouzo Pro 43mm rake which I was very happy with, so a mandatory element will be the same rake size. Would be great to find a NOS version of the Ouzo.
