nah, i'll fly a bike out for that.
i'm going to be in town in a few weeks and have a mission planned, if i can squeeze it in time wise. no firm plans yet, but i would need the bike for a day. i'm going to give AC a call tomorrow and see what the story is. any intel on other bike shops?

I know Huckleberry on Market Street will let ya demo one for a time. I got the missus a Stigmata for a few days hoping she'd take to it (jury's still out). They also do Cannondale and All-City. They may make you ride it on one of their organized rides, though, depending on how many demos they have at the moment. But the rides are very good, and they're nice guys — worth a call.

You can take any Rivendell you want from their shop for a day-long test ride. Lots of good riding, including Mt Diablo.

I rented a U.P. from Above Category. The demo bikes are set up with Force CX1 42 42-10 if that works for what you are doing.
