Is the interior outfitted with fine Corinthian leather? That would be leather from Corinth?

Along with 115 others.

That isn't "the bike Kevin Costner rode in American Flyers." It has different wheels. And it's the bike the seller rode, now. He'll be lucky to get the $400 going rate for those bikes. Ebay sellers are funny. And quite ambitious.

Didn't his bike go over a cliff, or get run over in the movie? It isn't like he even won the race either, so, its way overpriced. If he won... maybe $400, imho of course.

What I want to know is which NFL team did that guy play for? He looks like Lyle Alzado.

Paceline Humor

At first I was shocked someone would be crazy enough to even try and sell the bike for $40K.

The resulting humor was worth it ... way to go Paceline

From an ad on Velospace:
I've been trying to acquire this bike for about two years. A consultant was hired by the production company to add some authentication. Thus the stars rode Specialized Allez SE's, the 7-11 crew of course rode Serotta Murrays in red white and green schemme, and the nasty Ruskies has to be on either Cinelli branded as Mokba's or Sannino. This was based on his connection with the Polish and Russian track teams. So 5 bikes were purchased and set up with vinyl adhesive decals. When the movie was over they wanted to return them! No dice said the owner, but they agreed to re-sell them on commision. The gentlman I purchased this one from was Sergei Belov's ride! And he's had it ever since.
Beside being a top end bike, it has a full Galli build, which were very high end at the time, Galli has since become a wheel only company, and much of thier stock is branded by other "builders".
I will need to fing some nice gum hoods, and retape the bars (dont care for tacky fixi'k tape.
Enjoy!

That bike is a prop given to a movie studio by Specialized and is worth a couple hundred bucks.

If it were autographed by Kevin Costner it might be a bike show curiosity but nothing more than that.
Lance Armstrong's bikes haven't won actual races...

Jim Merz (Specialized) and Curtis Odom (BPP-Bicycle Parts Pacific) on the CR list confirmed standard SEs for Costner et al, and Sanninos for the Ruskies respectively...

I think the conversation started because one of the Sanninos came up for sale on eBay. Unfortunately the pictures are gone, but the ad copy is still there:
