In Beijing, I think paternity testing estimates that 30% of men are not the father of 'their' children. I remember seeing a stat on England not too long ago with a lower but still shockingly high number.

Heck, even the great apes cheat.

Granted, most of the time you can blame both sides a bit, but typically, is one side more often "at fault" than the other? Or is it 50:50?

Anecdotally I've concluded that many times it can be the guy's fault for not trying hard enough to make things work, but most of my work buddies are still married, so I don't have a lot of data on this.
Depends on who you ask? Nowadays, at least in most places, a court doesn't need to say. Might be interesting to see what a forum full of cyclists (80 percent guys? 90 percent?) says, but, well . . .

Bingo, hoping to get the ad into the best of C/L. Also why is he parked in front of a Flying Pigeon dealer? Nothing in there is over $200!

Might be real, might not be. It happens all the time though and is not so far out it's obviously fake.

I have few things for sale in the classifieds that haven't sold. Maybe I ought to add to the listings that my wife yells at me when I buy bike parts and makes me feel real sad. Never thought to appeal to paceliner's sympathy to sell my crap.

This reads too much like an urban legend. Remember those stories, often circulated via email, with a plea for help, and/or to forward it to 10 friends? There's always a point in the story that goes over the top, a detail that's just too good to be true.

The photo is from Flying Pigeon's web site. That don't mean much by itself.

I think the sale is real, the story not so much.

Hey, crank it up--sell the story, not the part. What could go wrong?

Very good, but not quite perfect.

I told him it was not the perfect country and western song because he hadn't said anything at all about momma or trains or trucks or prison or gettin' drunk.
