great GP -- never knew they made a type-20. yours having the 12-hour register makes it really useful. most vintage type-20s only had the 30-minute register, which IMO makes them useless as a real-world timer. i had a vintage GP olimpico a couple years ago, since sold.

I love watches. I also acknowledge the criticism that it's not about keeping accurate time! For me, the combination of cool looking and mechanical engineering is greatly appealing.

Like anything with a lot of choices, the tiniest difference can seem enormous.

Also, vintage watches seem much more interesting now.

Here's my daily -- previous calibre and case Tag Heuer Monaco:

Heuer's best ever design.

Jack's autobiography is available as a book or free to download (legally).

the monacos are one of my favorites and will own one someday soon. Of course, that panerai would always be welcome at the table as well.

currently sporting a shinola runswell. Not an auto, but the ronda/argonite quartz keeps decent time.

I'll wear the Helson tomorrow for picture day.

Seeing as my pawn shop burnt to the ground last year, along with most of what I owned. (bikes were saved).

highly doubt it!

Who Likes Watches

I must admit I do like watches.

I have found that many cyclists tend to like watches and audio equipment. I think the appreciation for finely tuned working machines is the reason.

I also appreciate something that has a very high build quality, can be fixed and will continue to work as designed for many years.
