An "inside-the-park HR" to tie it up would have made it even more exciting.

A great game just the same.

Of course, but it would not have made it RIGHT!

Congrats, left coast dwellers!

My only skin in the game was a desire for KC citizens to have some positive news, but that wasn't happening with Bumgartner and Sandoval putting in the performances of their lives.

Four blowouts, three of the best BB games ever-- fantastic series!

Good Game

That was a good game to watch. Not a fan of either team but enjoyed the game.

I love baseball, and I love it even more when the Giants win the World Series! Three times in five years, wow, just an incredible run. I grew up here in the Bay Area, lived here my whole life, still have my T-shirt from the 1989 world series, and the heartbreak of 2002 haunted us for so long. Finally those game 7 demons have been exorcised. Congratulations to the Giants, and congratulations to the Royals for a fantastic season. With that group of youngsters they should be contenders for years to come.

Go Giants! I can't wait for spring training!

I thought it would be important for KC to get to Bumgarner right away. The first batter got a hit to right and then the ump called a strike on a pitch way below the strike zone. The batter then swung at a high pitch and was behind 0 - 2. I thought that was a pivotal missed call.

KC Royals and important missed calls in a decisive game of the World Series - now that's a first.

As a Royals fan, this was a real mixed bag. Great series, some outstanding play for both teams. I'm very proud of how the Royals got there & how they played once they did. Not the outcome I hoped for (yeah, it hurts), but wow, what a ride. Plus, it took one of the best pitching performances I've seen since I'm not even sure when, a great play at second base last night, and some ungodly two strike hitting by Pence (.500 with two strikes? Are you kidding me?) to take them down.
I can only hope that this is a view of what's to come & not a flash in the pan. I honestly only half followed them lately because there is only so much bad a person can take, season after season.
Now, if baseball can just do something about the outrageous payroll discrepancies between teams, perhaps small market teams can spice up the Series more often.

I'd guess that in the next 5 years the Royals will be in the postseason again at least twice, if not more.

I am sure you could not even root for KC.

I was torn, so decided that I would root for a long and exciting series.

I certainly don't speak for all of KC but I will tell you the mood in general is very upbeat and happy for the great month of October baseball. Sure, I'm sad we lost but man what a ride.

Great series, seven games, got the tying run on 3rd with two outs, holy crap, who could ask for more?

Well, besides a victory. Looking forward to the rematch.
