Would you, should you, could you dangle?

Taking tricks from the world of MotoGP....crazy? Or crazy like a fox?

In CX? All the time. On the road? Almost never, maybe on a low speed icy corner.

Yup, countless times through any technical cx course (or mtb trail) but pretty much only in emergencies on road.

I don't like stickng my feet out on the trails around here. Way too many rocks. But certainly use the dangle from time to time when conditions warrant.

Nah, I can see out of my left eye. Besides no one is going to overtake the guy in the back anyway.

I've done it during CX races. Buddy of mine told me a friend of his broke his leg doing it and so I haven't done it since.

I was out last Sat and was dangling every time I had to go round a corner.

That weight shift seemed to help keep the front end planted.

YMMV

Yeah, I have very little tread on my tires on the CX bike (I have new tires, just waiting for my new wheelset to put them to use) so I'm always putting a leg out. Used to be because I was scared of sliding, but it's helping with weight distribution and taking corners faster, at least in my mind

Valentino Rossi makes a lot of things look good. Haven't followed motoGP for a while, but pre ducati in the yamaha days he was a god. Shumaker on a motorcycle.

Not to derail but a few minutes of the greatest motorcycle racing ever filmed Rossi and Lorenzo at catalunya
