Matching Serotta Paint
Purchased a steel Colorado off the forum (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showth...rotta+colorado) and sent it off to Bilenky for S&S conversion.
Their painter is having a hard time matching the paint. Is there anyone here that's familiar with Serotta's paint? Thanks, David Weidler |

Get in touch with Bill MacDonald. He was the painter for Serotta and now has hung his own shingle.

Cool. I wonder if Bill can even do touch up paints? That would be awesome.

That color looks like the color Serotta called "anthracite," which is a metallic charcoal grey that can have pinkish or bluish highlights depending on the light. Bill MacDonald can definitely match the color--I had him paint a frame in that color post-Serotta. The issue you will likely have is that it's extremely difficult to match the color exactly, so it may be difficult to do a "touch up."

Back to square one.
Mr. McDonald couldn't come up with a match. Any further help? |
