Sorry, forgot about this.....

Yup.

I bought the pedals quite awhile ago, maybe even a year. When I was having a new bike built up, I had some parts on hand I was using in the build, including the pedals. I went to the shop to pick the bike up, the mechanic handed me the pedals and explained what was wrong. I just laughed.

Like I said, I bought the pedals way too long ago to return them. I should be able to replace the pedal spindle, right?

Enjoy your ride,
Murph

There's nothing wrong with that pedal. It's made for the southern hemisphere market.

Don't think so. The 'nut' that threads into the pedal body are opposite threaded..one left, one right(don't remember which), so unless you can get the 'nut' off..maybe by taping off the bearings?

not sure about Look, but I know with Shimano the spindle on the drive-side pedal has left hand threads that lead into the pedal body...so, make sure you get the spindle for the non-drive side. If another Paceliner has a busted Look pedal, that'd be your best bet.

as far as being a 'pedal whisperer' --- do some maintenance on pedals and turn forever the wrong direction wondering why the spindle won't break loose, kind of learn these things.
