Not my best performance.. but totes respectable, for de Ronde.

Tomorrow will be worse.... (another 50 miles and 8,000', on the other side of town)

KRhea - tell your wife I wasn't doubting her directions.... I just really really wanted to make sure I understood. BTW - still totally want to rap with you about Team Fairweather. Obviously isn't happening this season, but next season for sure
Yo "Dead", what time did you roll by our cookie stop? It must of been before I arrived. I did our club ride out in Hillsboro then came to the rest stop until we shut down.

Do you know how to curb-stand it against the pedal? Same principle, just with some odd piece of trash, rock, or helmet

My personal best on this route, soloed 40.1 miles of rollers in wine country in 1 hour 53 minutes. Was a fun ride with a lot of "C'mon legs" shouting. Damn it was windy too, especially the second half. remembered to eat midway, helped a lot for the last climb which sometimes stops me like a wall.

terrain is pretty much just like this, rollers up and down, with 2 good climbs and one nasty, windy flat at the end just before the last (biggest) climb. Next time I'll do it in reverse, start with the climb, and see how that goes.
Really pretty day in Southern Oregon.

Seems any time I get new shoes or a new bike, I'm due for a crash... today I had new shoes AND a new bike. Don't ask me why I wasn't thinking about that coming into that right hand curve at 24mph. Whole right side is pretty chewed up, but nothing justifiably keeping me from racing tomorrow....

It was a gorgeous day and I went out for a bit of dirt and gravel.

I was rolling along at a good clip, taking advantage of the gift of gravity when I came upon a narrow spot in the road that was in the shade. Around 15-20 feet away I saw something and thought "WTH is that?"..... and about half a second later I realized what it was. He was stretched out at an angle across the road so I didn't have a lot of room to pass. He was kind enough to hang around and let me get a pic or two.

And remember....
