This has been a tough Thanksgiving week, but is turning into a very Happy Thanksgiving.

My work partners husband was diagnosed with meningitis on Sunday night. He is in his late 30s and in excellent shape. Monday morning his lungs had totally failed, he was on life support and the doctor said to have his family fly in from out of state. He made some progress with his lungs the last two days and opened his eyes twice this afternoon. Then early this evening they took him of oxygen and renpmoved all of his tubes. Then he could for the first time hear people and respond to questions by nodding. It is a very happy atmosphere at the hospital tonight. The 10+ hours a day at the hospital have been well worth it.

So it is a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Jeff

lovely image! and I sincerely hope the friend is ok mentioned in thread...

I too am very thankful for this forum...for the folks I have corresponded with, the guys who have helped me out on builds, the constant learning abit more from really intelligent people about what I love and that which gives me a real purpose: bikes...so thank you folks...

I recently did a new build a few months ago and the way folks stepped in and helped via me picking up parts, giving advice and even getting interested in the build I was doing and , hell, even cutting me deals to get it done as I was/am skint...well, it really touched me...and that has happened many times via friends here...so thanks all...it really is a wonderful forum with great people...I want to thank folks out here for their humor as well...it has really picked me up thru some tough times...

Happy Thanksgiving. Don't over eat! Don't forget to be thankful for all you have. I'm thankful to be alive and healthy, and still riding a lot, at my age 73. Thankful for the perfect beautiful weather on my ride this AM. Thankful to be able to ride with my wife this AM...even at her pace. Thankful for my friends, Internet and around here, and wish them all good health. Thankful to live in a country where this is possible. So much to be thankful for.
