White Industries hub conversion

How hard (read:expensive ) to change a WI rear hub from 135 to 130 spacing?

Not hard at all. It's just the axle. Not sure on cost. You'd also need to redish the wheel.

It's just an axle endcap. Easy to do.

very easy but kind of expensive. I think its about $125? dont quote me--I was going to convert from 130-135 because finding a 135mm spaced campagnolo hub is impossible.

I found it to be more cost effective to get a WI Mi5 Hub and switch to a campy freehub body.

I'm guessing your situation will be similar--a used Mi5 is easier to find.

135-->130: take axle cap to machinist and get it shortened 5mm.

130-->135: PM me. I've got a spare 135 cap.

This is what I was hoping for,but there seems to be more people saying that you have to replace the whole axle ect. The redish I was expecting, but those hub parts are expensive. Bicycletricycle, have done this on a WI hub before?

Definitely just endcap. I've done it.

Only thing not mentioned is that you can't really do this with a disc hub without offsetting the rotor too. For rim brake it's not an issue.

Yes, lots of times on M15, H2/H3, T11 and tracker. You only need an axle when switching free hubs.

Just call them, they are nice.

Here's the answer to you question

Yes, you can change it to 135 from 130
Price:

Ends- 10 each
collar- 12 each
axle rear- 26
axle front- 24
freehub body for an 11 speed- 140

H2 hubs ARE NOT convertible to an 11 speed body.

This may be a confusing answer for someone who does not know which of these parts they need. Only one of those parts is required for a spacing change.

Actually, he would need two. Two axle ends. One on each side.
I posted everything incase since I had someone else ask about switching to an 11 speed body on an H3 hub

Spacing change only requires non drive cap.
