So you think you can drive?

Love the sound, and these folks have some serious skill behind the wheel...

Group B was sensibly ended after things got a bit too lunatic. But man, those cars were something else.

Yeah, it always amazed me that hordes of people would stand so close to the action...but man those cars blaze.

In more ways than one. Once Toivonen and Cresto died the way they did, was clear something had to change.

I did not know that was part of the reason.

Would you Off-Road a BMW-3 Series? Sure, why not!

You have to climb a mountain. You're given $2000 and a set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 off-road tires. You buy an E30. Can it make it?

I love the lack of drivers aids and the flaming exhaust. Actually had to engage the clutch and shift, those things must had been wild to pilot being as they had to feather the rather hair trigger turbo lag thru turns and stuff. Probably akin to riding a grizzly bear. Balls of steel

The mud flaps are pretty boss, too

I love Groupe B! It came alive as I was waking up to performance cars in general. It was dangerous, crazy, and led to some of my all-time favorite cars: 288 GTO, RS200, and the 959.

It's really too bad that it got so crazy and saw the number of tragic incidents that it did.

I can't wait to hear Christian's perspective on it!

I dig them as well. How about a little Group B Worship: Ford RS200 and Audi Sport Quattro?

Quote:
To enter Group B in the 1980s, car makers had to build 200 road-going examples of the car they intended to rally. These rules created some of the most spectacular road cars of all time. I love rallying: the chance to drive an RS200 and a Sport Quattro nearly sent me to the nut-house. Fire up the Quattro!

Finding the real deal would be tough and pricey, but there are some cool replicas out there...

Car Enthusiast

I've been a car nut from birth. Took me awhile to find this video, someone posted it recenlty on a car forum I frequent.
OP, you title is so appropriate for this video. Watch this guy lose and save this car many times. And he just keeps pushing it too. He's got skills and massive nads.
He's driving a RUF Porsche around the Nurburgring:
