sc53 -- I've said it before and I'll say it again, your CSi repaint is simply outstanding!
Here's a quick example of Arancio and Sapphire Blue on a compact Legend Ti... |

I don't think people give pink the credit it deserves as a great color for a Shttp://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=3053&highlight=Bill+Boveerotta. I offer my own as evidence.

I bought mine 'off the floor', and while I'm satisfied with the unpainted Ti/Carbon and Blue/White decals, it's not what I would have picked. If I get it refinished, I'd probably get the carbon tubes either tinted blue or painted Sunset (the deep red-orange.) I'd leave the Ti bare. And I'd put a single decal on the downtube only - white with blue tint, ti-charcoal with Sunset. Bare seat tube and chainstays. Out of all the bikes I've seen, Climb's Ottrott comes closest to this scheme. On the other hand, if you get the Legend. Either 1/2 paint & 1/2 Ti or the Sizzler scheme. As far as 1/2 & 1/2, I'd either paint it white (Keith's bike is just right!) or Arancio with Red/White decals. My favorite Sizzler scheme is Kahuna's Legend (but with fewer decals.) Like Ozz said, this is the hardest part! Hope these ideas help rather than confuse! |

If you go Legend. the 1/2 paint 1/2 polish is practical. It is very easy to maintain.

or see previous post for complete bike.....funny we posted at the same time! BTW - if you are set on blue and orange, Keith's rendition above is pretty sweet! Very Euskaltel!

You have to be the one to decide, it is such a personal thing. I think there are almost too many choices that it boggles the mind, just go with your instinct. What one person likes another dislikes. I like simplicity and understatement but based on the frame shown in your original post you lean towards gaudy.

Spoke -- That indeed is a very lovely bike and the color pretty close to the Waterford that I posted, which is a great looking frameset as well. But brother, I just have to ask -- if you going to do a sloper, why do a headtube extension as well? IMHO, it would have looked a little nicer like this....

And here is a little variation of the Arancio and Sapphire Blue with one of the fork painting schemes that Serotta is using...
