Differences between CAAD8 and CAAD9 CX frames?

I'm looking at a 7 or 8 year old frame that's been repainted. I think it's probably a Cyclocross 6, which was a CAAD8 and came with a Cannondale fork - AL steerer I think. Seller thinks it's a CAAD9, which in 2010 came with EC90X forks. It appears that the 2009 CX frames were all CAAD9s, but 2010s were CAAD9 and CAAD8. So two questions: What are the obvious differences, and were the 2010 CAAD8s the first of the Asian made Cannondales?

Point taken. I'll admit to being a bit obsessive about identifying year and model of frame, though functionally it may not matter much. In this case, mainly want to buy a US made CX frame. I already have an Asian made 2011 CAADX.

AFAIK everything up to and including the CAAD 9's were made in the USA.

The CAAD8 CX frames appeared in 2010 after two years of only CAAD9 CX frames. They appear to have separate seatstays rather than the CAAD9 wishbone arrangement, and lack the "handmade in USA" decals on the stays.

That looks to be exactly what I'd like, a 2010 CAAD9. Looks like a 56, which I had and sold to a forum member as it was too small.
