Never weeping while riding, but weeping if you deflate the tire and reinflate, then it will seal again. Improving the fit between the tire and rim by adding more layers of rim tape should work, unless the bead is damaged.

Interesting that you only see a few minutes. I mounted a pair of 32c NEX.Ts to a pair of HED Belgium Rs without sealant a couple of weeks ago and they stayed fully inflated for 48 hours before I got around to adding sealant. With Reserve Fillmore valves. Maybe the valves helped.

Panaracer tires almost always require more layers of tape.

Yes, my experience as well, also Rene-Herse since Panaracer makes these tires under contract.

So yes. Thanks for the suggestions.
The tire came off too easily after some stretching. So I added a layer of gorilla tape and a thin outer layer of tape. Got everything back on. Added orange seal and we’ll see how it goes. |

did you clean the rim hooks of any dried sealant? maybe it's preventing the bead from locking in

I will try not to weep while riding, but sometimes the emotions hit me unexpectedly.

I found that I needed to run Orange Seal to get RH tires to be somewhat reliable. Even then, they might let you down after a long drive or surprise you the morning of an event...

I had definitely cleaned out the bead when I'd retaped them when switching tires.
It does seem like the bead stretched a bit more than other tires I've run, based on how easily they came off. I'm hoping that extra layer of gorilla tape does the trick. That's quite an addition. It held air during a 18 mile lunch road ride. I'll see how it does on gravel and mild single track. |

I havne't used a tremendous amount of sealant brands, but have always had minimal air loss with Stans and Motul.

Slime sealant if you want to stick things to the rim. Positives and negatives there.
