What width tape for this tubeless wheel?
Building some wheels with Light Bicycle AR36 rims in a tubeless setup.
What width tubeless tape would you use for these rims? Internal width is 21mm. Yes I said tubeless |

Scotch 8898 tape. For 21mm width, use 24-25mm tape. I do. Got mine from R.S. Hughes out of Sacramento CA.
I use the Scotch tape in several widths and since starting to use it, have trashed any other tape I used before. Wonder stuff. Oh, two wraps, three if the tire doesn't want to seat. |

Few 4-5mm wider than internal width to account for the rim channel. Highly recommend putting a tube in overnight after you tape. In my experience it makes a difference in keeping the tape down.

No rims requiring rim tape for me. Properly built hookless rims need no rim tape. BTLOS has just about anything you could want.
