There's still some uncertainty about B/R sports, so not all questions can be answered yet. When Warner/HBO launched the B/R Sports package in October 2023, it was to be a $10 add-on to any Max subscription plan, but it was to be available free to any Max subscriber until February 29th (after which Max subscribers would have to pay to continue receiving B/R Sports). In January, they announced that charging extra fee for the B/R Sports add-on was to be delayed until later in the year, so Max subscribers can continue to watch it at no additional charge. We still don't know when they will start charging for the B/R Sports add-on, or any other details about subscribing to it. However, there are rumors that Warner is considering launching a separate sports streaming platform, possibly starting next Fall, and that B/R Sports would be merged into that. One guess is that setting up a separate payment system for the B/R Sports add-on connected to Max would complicate the transition of B/R Sports to another platform, so maybe they've delayed charging for B/R Sports until they have a more of an idea of its future.
So, at least for the time being, anyone with a Max subscription can watch B/R sports (including cycling coverage) at no additional cost, but if and when that will change is anyone's guess. Roku was mentioned, and B/R Sports is currently integrated with the Max Roku app, so once a Max subscription is set up, there are no additional steps needed to set up B/R sports - it's there in the menu at the top of the app (well, at least for now, anyway). |

I think the B&R sports add in is only free till 2/29 [yes leap year]. Then it is a 9.99/mo?
