I think the best cranks for this type of frame will ultimately still be the Cannondale Hollowgram arms, though you might get better shifting with Praxis rings.
That's a super generous offer. Let's see what I find when it arrives. I do know I'll be lowering gearing - 52/36 is not my jam. Was even thinking of a 1x11 with one of the ZTTO cassettes people suggested for Angry's Mag Dogma.

Keep it 2x. You won't need to worry about 'adding lightness' on that frame.

Also, look at the token threaded bb's for going the shimano route. Treefort bike has some great deals on them. I just bought 2 of the threaded ones for my caad13 with the bb30a. They automatically pricematch so they slashed the price by like 50% for the BB's without my having to do any work.

You got the best color scheme Cannondale ever made, in my purplicious opinion. If you ever decide to flip that sucker, please keep me in mind. I really disliked the ride of the current SS Evo, but would be keen to try a 2016 model, especially in colors that’d make me smile and give me a mood/energy every time I look down and while riding see em.

I concur! And that frame can easily take 30 mm tires. I think you're going to love the speed, agility, and flickability of the bike.

Looking forward tot he review.
BTW, keep the SI crankset.

I have to admit the cobalt blue was a selling point
My CAAD10 was just black and white, so inoffensive. Some of the white black and green Cannondales just don't hold appeal for me, and I do like to look at the bikes as well as ride 'em.

Seriously!? What the heck am I doing with myself I bought a caad13 rim brake hoping I could do that and my 30/32 tires hit the direct mount brakes where they mount.

Which year bikes cleared those bigger tires? Seriously I gotta know lol.

they cleared 28 mm tires measuring 29.4 mm and still had 3 or 4 mm clearance, if I remeber correctly from my bike from years ago.

I happily ride 25s here in the land of good pavement. If I feel the need for bigger tires I have other bikes.

Nice deal. I really like those wheels, sharp color on frameset. I gotta dedicate a bit more time to eBay!

I just took a look at the CAAD13 geo on Geometry Geeks. In my size, 54, it has a 71.2 HTA. Are they shifting the focus to gravel?

The 13 is a big departure from everything they came before it!

The bike arrived yesterday evening, unscathed thanks to the packing job done by Endeavor Cycles in Charlottesville VA. I put my not-the-fancy-ones Eggbeater pedals on, and the TACX cages that came with the bike, and swapped the saddle, and starting out at 15.85 pounds, so definitely the lightest road bike I've had. I need to swap on the Agilest tires and lighter tubes (it came with Conti Ultrasports) and change to the original stem, then take it out for a ride, probably tomorrow as I've got work today plus it's 30F out. I'm stoked! It's a great color too.
