56 miles on Saturday on some new roads. Didn't make it to the Twin Sisters hills in the distance...luckily

Windy but gorgeous day on Saturday in southeast Michigan. I'm gradually getting to know the network of dirt roads enough that I can adjust the route on the fly depending on how much time I have and how I'm feeling – usually not enough and not so strong, respectively. :-)

Lunch ride today. So many different types of stuff to see and ride on the Chantry Flats ride.

A nice hiker couple saw me taking pics of my bike and offered to get a pic of my heavy slothy a$$.

Is that Upper Winter Creek? One of my favorite runs/hikes.

Oh, ok, so you didn't take the trail off to your right before you get up to the helipad, right? That's Upper Winter Creek. MTBers take it, but it is single track. A few miles out, about 3 on that takes you to Santa Anita Cyn and a really nice creek.

Since I'm on a road bike, I've never really explored past the helipad. Stunning up there this time of year.

Today I rode my bike to 10,678 feet above sea level (overlooking Albuquerque) then played in the hills a bit. A total of 5787 feet in elevation.
