Hey Pete, paceline pals and forum friends miss your eternally optimistic and thoughtful posts. You tried to make every ride a little better for everyone.

Thanks to the OP for the reminder. Something tonight with a little Bordeaux....

Pete invited me on a cycling trip with his buddies to Santa Rosa several years ago.
It was such a hoot to go out to dinner with him and his friends. I'll never forget that steakhouse where everyone was slamming martinis and red wine. A long dining table straight out of "Goodfellas".
Really miss you buddy. I would never have had such wonderful experiences on the bike if I hadn't known you. Cheers!

I rode the Copper Triangle route with Bradford during Ride the Rockies this year. The Copper Triangle was what brought me to the forum and my friendship with Pete, Bruce K, and Bradford, as we rode together that week. I thought of him at every turn. RIP, my friend.

Don't have any stories, but I've been here long enough to remember his posts and helpful/friendly demeanor. That, plus I happen to be enjoying a glass of a Core du Rhon at the present...

So, here's to you Pete!

There was no better man . . .

A toast to Pete on his birthday. Rest and ride in peace, Pete. You are remembered, respected, and missed!

I rode with Pete once and had dinner with him at a Signature Cycles event when Ben Serotta came to talk to a bunch of folks. Pete was wonderful and I should do better at thinking of him and that cool time when I have a glass of RED, as he used to put it. RED in all caps makes me think of him.

RIP

Another year has come and gone, and I wanted to again recognize our dear Pete Mckeon on his birthday.

I'm not a wine drinker, but if I was...I certainly be having a glass of red in honor of him today.
