Non spoiler-ish version:

Winner passed 2nd place guy like he rode a shorter race or something in that last few hundred meters!

Looked like Sagan was just in it for the scenery today.

A friend of mine was running up Casitas pass in board shorts with a surfboard under his arm. So great

The flags are out in Folsom for the time trial on Friday, which will run directly under this bike bridge.

Agreed. Very impressive.

I was also impressed - though not necessarily surprised given his palmares - by the stage winner (don't want to name him so as to be a spoiler).

Definitely two riders to watch in the years ahead.

I'll just use initials, since we're in a quasi spoiler discussion here.

PS is coming back from a pretty serious (potentially career ending) injury. Will be interested to see if he still has room to improve. JA is already a bonafide star, even at this young age. He had mono last year, and has returned to form. I think he has more of a kick than PS, even if they were both at full health.

Is the 1 ready for this? Are the sections that have been under repair finished?

Do you guys remember a few years back when Jensie blasted the peleton with the headwind and did a fantastic break?

Question

http://amgentourofcalifornia.com/stage4

What does it mean "expect a select group at the front to take a lap on the first racecourse finish in race history - the famously technical Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway"

What do members of the non select group do?

I think a few others here know Ron. Sagan wheelied for him on Gibraltar:

Anyone noticing the slight tension/bickering over facts amongst Christian Vande Velde and the two Phils?

Feels like Christian is trying to give us insights that either the Phils ignore/contradict with.

Here's a quick, simple sample about a rider's age/being the youngest:

https://youtu.be/SDMmS0wMhbw?t=336

Happened the other day too when it came to Christian saying the break was going to last and the Phils disagreeing.

Maybe they are annoyed he's in the booth with them? That they have been told "you need him to help you... the magic is gone."

I'll never, never, never understand the act of running alongside cyclists on climbs......ever

....let alone while making a 'selfie'....or is it called 'doing' a selfie

Ugh.....
