Looks closely at the spacing on the stitches. That would be the most obvious.

The other two are not awful, but they are not up to spec on how a few things are finished. Mostly just sloppy assembly.

You don't need any soap, just rinse your hands and try and get rid of the salt. Lay the gloves out to dry and they will be fine.

During testing I specifically didn't give any cleaning instructions to my testers. Some of them babied them, others threw them in the washing machine and dryer. The gloves have all held up and been fine. The worst damage happened with no cleaning and was because of the salt. So rinsing them off will help the longevity the most.

All that said, rinsing them will strip some of the natural oils from them. Hitting them with a leather conditioner every once in a while to add some of that back is a good idea. You don't have to do it every time, but once in a while is definitely beneficial. I have been testing the Leather Milk conditioner I sell for months on half a pair of gloves and it makes a difference. The conditioned gloves is not as crunchy as the non-conditioned. But neither are terrible. But again, I am not a super heavy sweater, but some of my testers definitely are.
Thank you for the info. Now if you only had more XL's in stock . . . .

Me too! Not to mention the many XXL requests I've had.

I'm down to 1 pair of XL I think that one is going out on an exchange for a L that's coming back.

I have had some requests on how to care for your gloves. So I put up a post with some instructions.

Wore mine for the first time last week. I ordered a medium because I prefer gloves to be a bit snug over a bit loose. My palm circumference is about 8.5 inches. Jason told me he measures 9 inches and wears a large.

They were a bit snug, but that's okay. I got caught in a deluge on the way home, so that probably helped them mold to my hands a bit better.I just let them sit in my basement lair over the weekend. I tried them on yesterday and find they aren't quite as snug now. Looking forward to many miles with them.

Sorry I don't have any pictures to add, but I've ridden in mine for 3-4 rides, now. We had a stretch where it was stupid humid & two of those rides were on those days. The gloves were soaked with sweat & about two shades darker when I got home. Ran them under the faucet (cool water) to get the salt off, let them dry, and they look great. The fit is perfect (I wear mediums in every glove I've tried except Rapha & that's what I ordered), no pinching between fingers or tightness around the thumb (common glove bugaboos for me). And as an added bonus, I now have that traditional half-moon tan on the back of my hand, just like I did when I started riding.

First time reading up about these and I'm definitely interested. I've burned through so many pairs of cheap-o Giro gloves that I think it's past time I get something a little nicer. Good luck working out production/manufacturing issues. Excited to get my hands in some of these.

Send me an IM with your email address and I'll send you an invoice for a pair. I can have them to you in 3-4 days from payment.
