KCNC Zero offset alum seatpost install help please.

Hi.
Im installing a KCNC Scandium Zero offset seatpost in my Carbon Pinarello.
Couple of quick questions.
1. Do I need to Prep the seatpost before installing it in. As in Lube, or carbon paste....?
2. Which direction do I install the damn post. I know long bolt out, short forward.
But I notice that at the top of the post it has one ramp that's slanted higher than the other. Which side points at the back?

Thanks...oh RIP Serotta. Really sucks.
