Peter, the a-holes got the last set of beautiful wheels you built for us. DA 9000 hubs, DT rims, this set made the Gaulzetti ride superbly. Hmmm... they left two easy to grab DA C24 wheel sets, what do they know that I don't.
Damn!!!

Bingo! Those two guys are better than and more lovable than the bike! Some piece of crap sat on that bike for seven months and the first time "it" tried to unload the bike the right guy was in the re-sale shop browsing as a customer and knew "it" did not own that bike. And he had the balls to take action. There is more to the story, but those guys burned a thief who thought he had waited log enough, NOT, thanks to them.

For someone who is still using 9-speed Shimano STI, I know it's ironic for me to say this but....

this bike needs to be ETAPPED!

Super cool news!

If the OP would have had their location noted in the first post/I.D./signature, this might have come about even sooner. Just saying.

Thanks for defending what's left of my (non-Italian) honor Peter!

I agree. It was probably traded for drugs or cash at some point. I stripped and detail cleaned it yesterday and it is in better shape than if MK had been riding it for the last seven months, so I think it had been stashed for a long time.

Man, that is awesome!! So what does the insurance company do in cases of recovered property. Do they own it, do they request reimbursement? I've always wondered. She must be so excited to have her bike back, I can only imagine.

Sometimes the old Serotta smilies are perfect.
