i'm a watch fanatic, but i rarely wear one when i ride, i just dont like the extra metal rattling around on my wrist.

just for fun, here's a great shot of my favorite watch and my favorite little lady from two weekends ago at the apple orchard, drinking hard cider, no less.

While riding I wear a cheap, lightweight analog quartz watch. It was about $50, but has a sapphire crystal and stainless steel case.

I had a nice $200 basic Seiko. But I think it got shaken so many times the times always off. No matter how many times I readjust it... It just... Lags. .. Could that be?

Basis B1. It's just my normal everyday activity tracker, but when on a bike it automatically moves to bike mode and adds biking duration to my daily activity feed.

No. Highly doubtful. Watches that do not keep proper time need some attention.
Check with a local watchmaker.

Maybe he's going so fast that the principles of general relativity come into play?

I have ridden with a Huer Monaco 24........ok, it's a Jaragar lookalike, but the weight didn't feel relevant at all one way or the other.

Took me one aluminum Swatch, two titanium (REI and some other brand) and another plastic Swatch to come to that same conclusion.

Bought this because my wife gets bro' deals and the orange strap is cool (and washable, it turns out.) Forgot to take it off for the last race I did, but still managed to keep up on the climbs. The nylon strap does save some weight, in any case.

I bought an automatic pam a few years ago and had it sent to work. i commute via bike so rode home with it. The crown guard was like a sledge hammer into the top of my hand.

I had to stop and take it off.

My Garmin Fenix is like this. Great exploring watch, but it just bounces on my hand when on a bumpy ride. Terrible.
