Campy thumb shifter location

I never noticed before, but Potenza adopts the thumb shifter location used by the EPS lines. Anyone know whether the other mechanical groups will make a similar switch? I've not tried it, but it seems like lower down would be better, especially in the drops.

The thumb shifter is lower because the throw (travel?) is shorter as you can only dump or shift down the cassette one cog at a time. Has to be higher on Ultra Shift where you can drop 5. Short story long, no change for the "premium" groups.

The thumb position on Chorus and above, as The Beat noted, is for the ability to ratchet through multiple gears at once.

Feature, not a bug, on the higher tier groups.

Power shift only and 2015+, and EPS. Cuz one higher gear at a time, doesn't work with multi upshift on SR/Record/Chorus mechanical. Power shift guts much more robust as well.

And BTW, 11sCentaur ultratorque with Potenza to follow.
