Any idea what year this Serotta was built?

I have a NOS custom CDA with the exact same paint, dropouts etc. I have not been able to verify the year built. My best guess is around 2005-2006 but was hoping to get a confirm from the collective knowledge here.

I think the OP referenced the eBay Serotta for its paint scheme being the same as his CDA. The CX II isn't his.

I'm pretty sure that paint scheme was called "Race" and is shown on two bikes in the 2005 catalog. The CXII was introduced in 2004 but Race was not a finish option. So I'd say the bike on eBay is almost certainly a 2005, based on how low the serial number is. I'm assuming that your frame is a CDA and not a Coeur d'Acier. We don't have the model code for a Coeur d'Acier listed, so I can't tell you if it changed in 2005 when the model became the CDA.

If your serial number is very low, I'd say it's a 2005. If up in the several hundreds range, it might be either 2005 or 2006. The CDA changed back to the Coeur d'Acier for 2007-2008. I'm not sure if it continued beyond that.

Please post your model code in the serial numbers thread in the catalogs section. Serial number and pic would be helpful too.

Correct. Have been trying to walk in the year of my frame based on paint, fork and dropouts. Have been reviewing the old catalogs and looking at other Serrotas as well. The CX II on ebay besides being a very different frame, has all the details mine has.

Thank you. This really helps. I will post in the serial number section after I pull the frame out to photo and verify. Will update here as well.

I forgot about the whole CDA vs Coeur d'Acier name difference and my bike does have Coeur d'Acier on the TT. Based on your comments, would push my bike to closer to 2007-2008.
