Seat Post ID Help
Can anyone help ID this Ti post? The taper on the post looks unique enough to do so but I am at a loss.

The rail clamp is a Control Tech design. They may have sold them to some other companies. Will check my old catalogs.

Pretty sure it's a 2nd generation Dean Ti. The third had a two bolt adjustment and straight shaft and was 50g heavier at 242g.

The clamp biscuits were picked up here a couple months back. Post came complete sans biscuits.

Would be interesting to know who made it. As far as I know Dean was always a brand that farmed out manufacturing to various companies. But not that many outfits working with Ti in 1994.

Any idea who the likely culprits would be? The welds are very well executed.

If Dean actually made it, it would still be "in progress, delivery date subject to constant change" at their "workshop".... Iirc, McMahon used to fab stuff for Dean in the 90's, so maybe they made it? |

The Dean stems were reputedly made by Clark Kent, so guessing they may have made the post as well.

Hmm I had a Clark Kent. Funny how I forget about bikes. |
