Ergopower/Shimergo -- 11 spd record or 10 speed Centaur (2009)
I run shimergo on my bikes...currently running 2009 10 spd ultrashift alloy Centaur. The left lever is broken so I need to replace it.
NOS Centaur 2010 levers are $300. 2015 Record levers are much less at $244, or chorus is $223; 2014 is $274. If I go to 11 speed, just need to swap to a 9 spd cassette. The Veloce 2010 levers are ugly but cheap at $150. Is one better than the other? I'd like to stick with ultrashift and not to to powershift. Any experience with the 11 spd/9 spd shimergo combo -- I'm told the 2015 levers pull a different amount of cable than the 2014. The 10/8 works great! Thx. How is your lever broken? If it's the shifting mech Ultrashift levers are rebuildable. Contact Peter Chisholm (aka oldpotatoe) here on the forum, he's already rebuilt two of mine.
