Question Mounting DT shifters

Hi forum;

Would 9/10 speed DT shifters mount here without issues. Bike in question is a Miyata 310 from 1984 with currently Shimano 105 golden arrow DT shifters.
The DT shifter thing looks like this:

TIA

Take those cable stops off, make sure the base plates of the shifter are flat rather than conical and bob's yer uncle.

Out of curiosity I took the left side stop off and installed an 8 speed down tube shifter, No problem, fit like a glove. No need for the curved spacer either.

Add a couple of well hidden micro switches and you could be the first kid on your block with Di2 downtube shifters.

he don't need no stinkin micro switches....

Restore that beast! Those Suntour symmetric shifters automatically trim the front derailleur as you shift across the cogs in the back. They work as well as that overpriced Shimano stuff and don't require batteries.
