They basically did when Athena had ultra-torque and ultra shift. Besides a few ceramic bearings and ti bolts, it was an alloy version of SR.

I laughed! As much as for the imagery of doin' the math with the idea of "carrying the one" as I remember how the nuns taught addition arithmetic in 1st grade. And that in adding 30 to 2015 there is no "carry the one"!! How'd you manage to get the right answer with that?!?!

All kidding aside, the 1st gen square-taper carbon cranks only lasted 5 or 6 years before the UT, and that was through 2 versions of the square-T carbon crank. Oh well, I'm patient and I'm gonna wait that sucka out.

The new cranks use the ever popular 145/112 bcd combo,
so 50/34,52/36 and 53/39 are the available combos.

No Jens Voight compatible 53/42, sigh.

Special old folks crank available from Sugino.

Saw a euro store already selling 2015 Chorus with a comp crank. Lighter than the all Record setup and better looking too.........and less $ than all Chorus.....

2015 SuperRecord

Campy is and always has been the ultimate in form and function. Nothing else compares. I'd ride 9 speed Veloce before I'd ride anything Shimano. Any. Thing.

Was impressed with the Campy upgrade

I just sold all my UT cranks, I have a carbo centaur square taper left over and pair of veloce silver and chorus carbo ten speed version ergos, old shape

If i bought a new group, 2015 Chorus for sure, with a 52-36

I am getting a Crux with SRAM Rival, selling if off and making it all Campagnolo!! Need a Rival group in excellent shape??

It's available at Bike24 (http://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=...ch=chorus+2015), which I've found reliable. Shipping is somewhat pricey, but you can subtract VAT from the list price, so it works out to a pretty good deal.
