2x10 Conversion - FD issues

Upgraded my SC Blur from 3x9 to 2x10, with some XTR bits, new shifters, crank, bb, r derailleur, chain. I have had an XT f derailleur on there and didn't think that I would need to swap that out, but... adjusting it hasn't gone smoothly. For the BB, I have one spacer ring on the drive side, crank is close but not touching the chainstay. 2 spacer rings on the other side, but it seems like small ring is almost where middle ring was on 3x9. Am I missing something? I can't imagine the 2x f derailleur would be different, but maybe I was wrong about that.

TIA,
-Ari

If the FD was like campagnolo ones you might not have a single problem. But triple MTB lever stuff is designed differently.

Shifting performance will also depend on which crankset you purchased. I think for a specific 2x crankset you will need a 2x front derailleur. You will need to match up the front der. to what ever ring sizes your are running.

This chart is for the newest M9000 series, but it's the same with the previous group.

New shifters are XTR, they have a dial setting for the front, either 2x or 3x. I have it set to 2x, but maybe I should just try 3x?

Shimano mtb 10s stuff not compatible with mtb 9s stuff. You need a shimano '10s' front der. If you have one, then just adjustment

Just wanted to say thanks, got the new FD in, shifting is perfect up front, still need to fine tune the rear a bit.
