Ooh! Is that the one that was on Ebay recently? Was on my short list. Actually, would have preferred it over what I ended up with, a Van Dessel Full Tilt Boogie. No slouch, itself. But ended up reigning in my desires. Looks perfect!

It may have been. I got it from their store. It's one of the ones that didn't come out cosmetically exactly as desired but it looks fine to me, especially since I'll be dropping it in the dirt.

I will be riding mostly on the road but I am taking a gravel bike along to ride some trails inside the campgroup (Oxford Ranch) and around that area, probably this one that I am in the process of re-configuring...

Replace...
the 700cc rim brake wheels with a set of 650b disc wheels that I just built
Bruce Gordon RockNRoad with WTB Horizons (Thanks TurboNate pal!)
Butterfly bar with regular drop bar
MTB rapidfire with 9spd STI
MTB Avid BB7 with Road Avid BB7 (Thanks Kirk007 pal!)
Finished with the gravel build and rode a bit on the WTB Horizons today. For some reason, the tires felt all wonky and bouncy, very weird. Changed it back to my 700cc wheels with the RoadnRock and all was well again. Checked the 650b wheels, they are straight and true, nothing wrong with them. Can see that the centerline of the Horizons wavering all over the place when spinning the wheels. Wonder what's wrong....hmmm. Gonna contact TurboNate pal and see what he thinks.

Sounds like the tire beads weren't properly seated.

Thanks panache pal for chiming in.
That's my first thought initially. So I tried pumping higher pressure to see if I can force it to seat properly. It didn't do the trick. Maybe I need to deflate and start all over...

I have a set of tires which can be a bit fussy when it comes to seating in tubeless rims.

I sometimes use just a bit of soapy water. Also tugging side to side on tire where the bead is not set can help loosen it enough to pop in.

Thanks! Yeah, couplers would have been a cool addition. Perfect for riding gravel all over the world!
