Those dogs were clean. They got a bad batch of puppy chow and or mamma dog had a tainted nipple.

If you dope your dogs or horses to win some glory, someone needs to drown you in a bucket of piss.

Your title should read: Even dogs aren't immune from s@#%%y human being behavior. Its not the dogs doing it.

^^ Yes, but this one had the word "dogs" in the title. I stopped keeping track of all the stories about pro cyclists and masters racers who are jacked up on whatever.

nobody believes that the musher would be so stupid as to dope his dogs a few hours before he knew they'd be tested. dogsled racing requires proof of intent to dope (which is a really high bar, seems to me), and it's extremely unestablished that the musher doped his dogs. |

Well everyone is innocent, until proven guilty. However, how many times have we heard its malicious and/or an accident?
I don’t know the issues w the drop bags or how the dogs are handled at the stops, but it seems that the mushers had been worried about this for sometime. So I’d guess its also a huge risk for someone to monkey with it? As far as tram, its a pain killer & a mild stimulant. You don’t think dogs on something similar to RAAM in extreme conditions and sleep deprived are in pain? So in line with ‘thou protests too much me thinks’ that line of reasoning falls flat. There’s a reason its banned. Well if the race protesters did it, they hit a home run by splitting the royalty from the org & NYT no less. It will get even uglier. Climate change is going to end it anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
