the what did you ride this weekend thread resurrected

It's been a while - defective tire and the chatter about how nice gravel kings are ....
this bike has been redone w 5800, VO brakes and an SP dyno hub - laced to tb14's. Gravel kings are fantastic at least for the first 50 miles - compared to other supple tires these are a bargain.

There is just something about a classic steel frame with deep carbon wheels <3

(where's the heart smily??)

I did something different, rode a mountain bike, on an actual trail, which I haven't done for probably seven or eight years. Didn't take a camera so generic pic attached. A Rocky Mountain Growler 50, 27.5+ hardtail - my LBS's demo bike. Had so much fun I bought a Growler 40 today

First gen Cannondale tandem....

My better half and I did a really nice ride to falls lake marina on the ancient beast. We are both getting a bit of fitness back that started with our trip with Santana Adventures at the end of September. The trip riding along the Elbe river thru Germany was a hoot! Just trying to keep the engines going now.

My only riding lately has been to various fields to retrieve tractors pulling wagonloads of soybeans. Been riding this old GT, which I toss in the wagons on the return trip.

Incidently, I had the Deda Murex stem on there, but it was too flexy for me. Kind of just didn't look right on the classic build. I swapped it out for a Factory 5 Titan. That and the saddle are the only non-Italian bits on there.

Photos? Here you go:
