Replacement Cleat Bolts (Crank Brothers)
Does anyone have a better replacement for some off road cleats than the stock crank brothers shown below?
M5 Threads 10mm length Countersunk 0.8mm thread pitch Thinking maybe Torx T25 instead of a 4mm hed key might do the trick. Dealt with this yesterday... Last edited by kppolich; 03-01-2019 at 04:27 PM. |

I've gone with phillips or flat head in that scenario. Torx would probably be fine as well.
Got an Ace Hardware nearby? |

I have had to take an awl more than once to clean the allen heads out , I would not go torx. Considering how much crap gets stuck in an allen head, adding more places for things to get filled in does not sound like a good idea to me.

Overall, the goal is to have a better fastener Torx>Hex to reduce the chance of stripping as seen above. |
