Heard about this tonight on the local "classic" rock / free format FM station (WQUD 105.5).

Stats for the ride were amazing, something like 240 miles per day IIRC. According to what I heard, he only averaged 5 hours of sleep per night.

According to the BBC map it looks like he almost, if not completely, avoided riding in the US, which is interesting to me. I wonder why?
