Fall Riding Photos

This morning had the first ride that really felt like fall--knee warmers, long sleeves, vest, full finger gloves . . . using the after-ride shower to warm up instead of cool off . . .

I know some of you are deeper into fall than we are here, but I love to see the oak brush changing color on the foothills.

Apologies for the fuzziness of the phone photos.

I am afraid I am still a solid month away from feeling and seeing fall in the Deep South. On the flip side, January and February are very rideable for us. Especially after the sun gets up.

The great state of Utah--right at the foot of the Wasatch mountains. Not without its quirks, but a pretty great place to be a cyclist.

I was hoping to get to some higher country soon.
The aspens will be turning pretty quickly.

Went up higher today. Somehow the quakies still haven't changed, but the oak brush is beautiful.

Mid-40's this morning. Cold enough to clear the mind--I love the autumn air. Just the thing after some stressful weeks at work.

This was from last year, but it is still one of my favorites.

That's a beautiful shot! Is that somewhere in Michigan? I sure miss that place--especially this time of year.

It’s the Polly Ann rail trail in SE Michigan. Of all the rail trails and in this part of the state, it is my favorite. Mostly due to the remoteness of the trail, and pretty spots like this.
