Coincidentally, I just went out to get the mail and my Father in Law was watching the Military Channel. They were doing Airshow disasters and just as I walked through the room there was a Stealth Fighter Crashing. The Pilot did good. He flew that unaerodynamic Pig best he could after the tail flew off and aimed it for un-occupied ground, then ejected about 100 ft up. Rediculous, courageous, amazing.

Reason for the Tail coming off.... Maintenance forgot a bolt. Sheesh.

Pay....

Pay what you want, but don't start crying when you get dropped by someone riding a 15 year old steel frame/fork and friction dt shifters......

Seen it, not pretty................

Dan, if that's what it takes to get your competitive juices flowin' keep that chip on your shoulder.

What we all know is big strong young guys can't afford to spend too much money on bikes. Once you get old, or old and fat, and you can actually afford_______(insert Calfee, Parlee, Moots, Serotta, Seven...) well, what's wrong with that?

IMO the older and fatter I get, the more I need every single advantage money can buy to keep up with those boys on the Cannondales and Giants. That's just a fact.

I'd pay 4 bills for...

Parlee (I did), C50 or Time.

I'd spend 3 bills on new BMC Easton SLT 01 (no idea where it's being made, sounds pretty interesting however).

I'd also spend 3 bills on steel. Sachs / Pegoretti.

The money has to equal the bike not the label or the material. Sum of parts.
