I have heard ten speed Campagnolo shifters work with eight speed Shimano - I have never tried this but eight speed Shimano is fairly common and inexpensive.

really simple
all you need is this little shimano clamp washer thingy, and route the cable thusly: i currently have a 10-speed campy looooong cage RD working with a shimano 11-36 cassette and a 50/34 crank set i had a 10s campy medium cage working on a shimano 11-32 with a 48/34 crank set Last edited by Kingson; 04-28-2024 at 08:30 PM. |

I couldn't help but try to look around online for a nos Interloc Shimano/ Campagnolo conversion cassette and I didn't have any luck. I did however find these locally Ddouglas - I'm not sure if they are for 10 speed but it's worth looking into.

They work with 9 speed Shimano cassettes perfectly as long as everything else is 10 speed campy. Also 11 speed campy shifters work well with 9 speed Shimano drive trains.

Done that many times, particularly for touring rigs that wanted a handlebar bag..no outside cables like with older shimano. PLUS, 10s Campag and a triple front der. and crank....great all around set-up.
