Took advantage of Boyd's cyber Monday deal. Locally made down the street from me and no shipping as I live 5 minutes up the road. Looking forward to getting these built up.

20/24 hole 480g Front and 500g Rear

Pairing these up with in my experience tried and true Novatec AS511SB FS522SB hubs with cxray w/ cxsprint rear DS spokes.

Those look nice
Any rough idea of what the finished wheels will weigh?

I am about ready for a new set & my go to Zonda's are getting harder to find

Super nice hub vise

I set out to do a cup and cone hub service for the first time. Turned out that the second hand wheel set I picked up recently was shot to h*ll, with the rear dust seals missing. Oof, with no physical point of reference to compare the hub to, it was a bit of a (wasted) struggle. The experience did serve to spur me to buy a Stein Tool hub vise, making the next wheel I did a hub service on--for practice, an ancient 26er--an absolute breeze.

This magically popped up on my feed yesterday - a 2005 Pegoretti 8:30AM in my size, my favourite scheme and located in my own country for once. Fate. Took only a few minutes to do the deal. Very happy!

My latest, picked up this past weekend.

A late 80s', early 90's Miele Latina. Still deciding on the build. Should be easy to turn this into a legit 20 lb'er.

I’m recabling my California bike and since last time out I took some tools home. Bought a pair of cable cutters and some new water bottle cages since I don’t care for the ones currently on the bike.
