Looks like a nice bike, but weird to see a 203 mounted in the rear with a 160 up front

Can you say "skid mark?

I wonder if the ISO mount wasn't placed too far toward the dropout and that the caliper hits the seat stay with smaller rotors. It looks like a generic tab brazed onto the chain stay and not an integrated dropout (ala Paragon).

This.

I have taken mine around most of Lake Superior until I blew up the front wheel last summer.

235 mile trip as well. Gravel roads from Ely to St. Paul serving its pack mule status.

The bike is way overbuilt, but has some nifty details if you get your close up lens out.

I bought mine from a cool forum member for the price of a Surly LHT.

BTW It's a real keeper.

Heavy works fine when you throw on the racks.

Panniers and all the goodies.

Until then it's work with a capitol W.

We have 2 of his tandem from the 90's not in use, hoping someday kids will want it for their spouses. May end up selling but the massive changes (ie: drum brake mounts), just couldn't bear selling these fillet brazed beauties for few cents on the dollar.

Was a neat shop to visit, glad he is still cruising.

I made an offer he rejected it. He seemed firm on the price. I could be wrong. Bummer
