Williams 22s, anyone have strong opinions?

I'm sure there are plenty of people with opinions about them, so, let's have them, as nicely as possible of course

I'm considering a set and would appreciate real-world experiences. I have an older set of the Ws30X and they're pretty nice in my brief experience with them - bought a used bike with them and only have a few hundred miles in, personally. I'm considering the 22s bc I like climbing wheels and the price is good for the spec.

TIA,
J

Williams is about two hours from here and while I used to see them a lot, hardly much anymore.

Have you looked at Boyd? Same idea but I believe their components are made to their spec, as opposed to Williams approach of assembling wheels from off the shelf pieces.

I did look, and looked again yesterday after you said I should, but the prices are just too steep for what I need on this build. I'm wicked frugal

Thanks for that link, what a cool read about his journey. I've built a few sets of personal wheels but nothing as "high-end" as I can get for short money. My fixie, fatbike, rat rod cruiser and a few sets of BMX wheels are less high speed than my roadie :-)
