Built to Spill is one of my modern favorite bands. A contemporary band that gives some nods to the past and doesn't shy away from a long song. A quintessential non-sellout band:

Lie for a Lie/Terrible

Cover of Neil Young's Cortez the Killer

Kicked It in the Sun

Nowhere Nothing F*** Up (a riff on a Velvet Underground tune)

And one more that's just under the cut at 6:59 but worth checking out if you liked the above: Carry the Zero

The three guitar versions of BTS were my favorite. Scroll back up a few pages to see Freebird.

Sorry, he doesn't get a pass when he spews hate like this. Musical talent doesn't excuse this.

I don't follow TN and I haven't since way back in the day before he got politically hyped. I've only seen him in a few interviews more recently in regards to gun control issues. In two videos I saw just last week, in regards to gun control, the interviewer delved outside of that line briefly to other issues and TN's responses seemed to contradict the quotes you posted.

I'm not saying your quotes are right or wrong, just responding since you quoted my post. That said, let's keep the thread on track...music.

something long from snarky puppy. like this:

7 minutes, and a killer jam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Qo1...&nohtml5=False

for a groove funk, donny's hathaway's daughter does her daddy more than proud in tandem with snarky puppy. prepare to have your musical mind blown at around 6:00 in when she starts the scat across an incredible vocal range, then at 6:10 clones herself and harmonizes a few times (apparently it's called polyphonic somethingorother, or in plain english a 3 part harmony)! it's incredible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SJI...&nohtml5=False

I was the roadie for the Sons of Champlin for 42 years. In 1969 they recorded a 15-minute side of their first LP, "Loosen Up Naturally." The song was "Freedom," one of the first commercially released extended jams.

Here they are at Winterland in 1973. I love it that the singer (Double Grammy winner Bill Champlin) stumbles over the words he wrote in the first few lines of the song!
