Wheel build for my Hakkalugi

New wheel day for my 1997 Ibis Hakkalugi.

Old wheels were Hugi (now DT Swiss) hubs with Mavic Open rims - with an amazingly small 13mm internal width! That was the way to light wheels back in the day.

The old wheels' sidewalls were shot after about 20,000 miles of racing and commuting. Time to build new wheels while the weather sucks!

New wheels:
-Light Bicycle AR35 carbon wheels, set up tubeless
-DT Swiss competition spokes with brass Squorx nipples - I love building from the outside in!
-Same old Hugi hubs, rebuild with new internals. Huge props to DT Swiss support who for free sent a bunch of seals, ratchets, etc. because 'we like to see our old parts stay on the road'. That's great support.
-Koolstop pads, which were hard to find in a carbon compound but for pre-v brake post style cantilevers.

Here are 2 pics of the build in my basement, and a final outdoor shot ready to roll.
