one of my favorite bike commuting memories was when a cop saw me as he was about to run a stop sign at speed and locked up all 4. Good thing I wasn't that close. Running stop signs is endemic here. I come to a complete stop every time as my passive aggressive good deed of the day, both on bike and in my car. Especially on the bike though.

I swear I almost had road rage in rural California when everyone stopped for every stop sign. You really get used to people running them after a while.

Have seen plenty of cyclists who run Stop signs both here in Pittsburgh and in Dallas, where I previously lived. If something happens to them, it wouldn't bother me.

I'm of the mind-set that one rides the way one drives -- that mentality manifests itself in various parts of one's life.

I've commuted by bike off and on for 30 years. Every day I ride along side all sorts of A$$holes who can't ride bikes. Cars are way more predictable.

even the worst cyclist I've ever encountered has not hit me from behind, left me bleeding and unconscious, and left the scene...

just sayin'...

Hmmmm, I wonder if I can get him to make me a similar sign saying:

Phew, for a second there I thought I might have been an A-hole riding my bike, but I know what a stop sign is, so I'm good, right?

I'd like to follow him around for ten minutes and present him with a photo album of his own lawbreaking on the road.

Can't make out the license plate. What unfriendly locale is this?

Probably won't have to wait that long.
